UK Shared Prosperity Fund

The release of the 2024/25 allocation (£1,251,339) will be dependent on the submission of a Statement of Grant Usage for 2023-24 in spring next year.

Members intentions for part of the Council’s year 3 allocation has been confirmed as follows:
•        Townley Gardens Event Space
•        Barrow Community Space
•        Barrow Car Park
•        Whalley Education Foundation
•        Pump Track, Longridge

Longridge Pump Track

A virtual consultation session with Velosolutions was held on the 26 March 2024, a recording of this session can be viewed. The original proposed plans can be downloaded.

Comments on the proposed scheme were invited up until midnight on Friday 12th April 2024. The comments received have been considered and the scheme amended as follows:

• 40m extra length
• Inclusion of a double berm
• Another connection and S berm added
• Extension of the jump line to include 4 jumps

The amended plan can now also be viewed.

This final design will be subject to the submission of a planning application to the Local Planning Authority.
