How to Vote
In order for you to vote at any election your name must appear on the Register of Electors. To appear on the register of electors you must register to vote.
There are three ways in which you can vote:
- In person at your local polling station
- By post
- By proxy
If you are a British, Irish or Commonwealth citizen you can vote at all elections held in the UK.
If you are an EU citizen you can vote at Local Elections and also European Parliamentary Elections, however to vote in the European Parliamentary Elections you will need to request to vote in the UK instead of your Member State.
