Productivity Plan 2024/2025
This productivity plan has been produced in response to the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities’ (DLUHC) review of productivity in local government and outlined in the Local Government Finance Settlement 2024/2025.
Our Productivity Plan for 2024/24 is arranged around the four themes suggested by government:
- How the council has transformed the way it designs and delivers services to make better use of resources
- How the council plans to take advantage of technology and make better use of data to improve decision making, service design, and use of resources
- The council’s plans to reduce wasteful spend and improve efficiency within the organisation
- What the barriers are that prevent local government making progress and what the government can do to help reduce or remove them
This Plan outlines many of the activities we are undertaking to ensure we continue to fulfil our commitment to providing ‘value for money’ services while maintaining one of the lowest Council Tax rates in England, delivering high quality services and addressing the Goals set out for Ribble Valley presented in our Corporate Plan 2023/27
The plan has been submitted to the new Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) previously the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities DLUHC) and published on our website as per the July 19 deadline.
We will update and report on progress of our Productivity Plan on a regular basis.
