Platform Gallery Craft Open 2024 Entrant

Staff at the Platform Gallery in Clitheroe are on the search for talented and imaginative people from across the North West to take part in an annual showcase of eye-catching creations.

Craft Open is the gallery’s annual open exhibition that is open to anyone from professional artists to amateur hobbyists or students to give them a “platform” to show off their work to a wider audience.

There is no set theme but any work submitted must have been produced this year and must be of original design, ie not from a kit.

Gallery supervisor Jack Shackleton said: “Craft Open is an ideal opportunity for craftspeople to showcase their work. It’s also a way of highlighting the wonderfully wide and varied range of talented and imaginative artists we have in Lancashire and the North West as a whole.

“There’s a lot of great work being done out there and Craft Open is a way of bringing it together and letting people see it up close in a brilliant setting.”

The deadline for submissions is Saturday 5th April. It costs £15 to enter and people can submit up to six pieces of artwork. Gallery staff will confirm If the work has been selected by Friday11th April.

The chosen work will be on display at the Platform Gallery, next to Clitheroe railway station, from 7th May - 5th July and will be open to the public.
