If financial problems mean you are struggling to pay your mortgage/rent, council tax and other household bills, you can get free debt advice and support from the organisations listed below:
- Citizens Advice
- Money Advice Service
- National Debtline
- Stepchange
- Christians Against Poverty
- Olive Branch Café – Trinity Community Hub Clitheroe on Friday morning 09:30-12:30. No appointment required - advice and support from a range of services including debt, housing, health, children and family, CAB, job and training opportunities as well as access to the Clitheroe Foodbank. Please visit their website for more information.
There are many other debt advice providers you can use, but you should always check to see if they will charge fees for helping you. Any additional fees you have to pay mean that it will cost more to clear your debts and may take much longer.
