Junior archaeologists can discover the prehistoric past through pottery. Get messy with some clay and learn about the invention of pottery.

Celebrate the Festival of Archaeology 2024 and book your young experimental archaeologists (age 7+) onto a kid's pottery activity. Discover the prehistoric past through pottery. Get messy with some clay and learn about the invention of pottery from thumb pots to coil pots. Look at designs and replicate using sticks, stamps and fingernails. Each young archaeologist will take their coil pot home and receive their very own certificate to take away, too!The session will run at 2pm and last around 45 minutes Pottery sessions are £2.50 per child. Please book online or phone, email, or call in at the museum shop for more information. Doors open for registration at 1.45pm and the session will start at 2pm prompt.
