Grindleton Pavilion was opened in November 2012. Fund-raising started in August 2010 under the direction of the Grindleton Recreation Ground Charity and over £430,000 was raised in the 2 years. The village is most grateful to the many organisations, national and local government departments, charities and individuals who contributed to this total. The Bowland Charitable Trust was very generous with its substantial offer of matched funding up to £100,000.
The Pavilion is an outstanding facility for the village and wider communities. It is now available to book for public and private events in its large hall with high-specification kitchen facilities across the lobby, and an upstairs large meeting room. It also hosts changing rooms for sporting events on the adjacent recreation ground, with showering facilities for home and away teams and a referee's room. A Multi-Use Games Area is on-site.
