What does it do?
Hyndburn and Ribble Valley CVS is an independent charity which supports local voluntary, community and faith sector (VCFS) groups in the area by providing information and advice services, as well as practical support.We work to represent the voluntary sector at strategic level; to enable the sector to network via forums, meetings and local conferences; to discuss issues of concern and to encourage other agencies to listen to, and work with, the local voluntary and community sectors.

Advice and support: Providing information and advice on all aspects of setting up and running a voluntary group, including funding, information, financial advice and managing projects.Development: Working with new and existing groups to help them develop new projects and expand their services and activities to meet local needs.Funding advice for groups: Information and practical support to groups to access funding opportunities.Engagement and representation: Organise forums, meetings and local conferences so that groups can get together to discuss issues of concern. Encourage other agencies to listen to, and work with, the local voluntary and community sectors and represent the sector at strategic level.Partnership: Facilitating partnership with groups to more effectively identify and meet the needs of the local community.Training: Identification and facilitation of training programmes for the local Voluntary, Community and Faith Sector. Innovative basic and accredited courses to upskill individuals and groups. (When available).
