Clitheroe Town Centre – Market Redevelopment Area

The Clitheroe Market redevelopment area project proposes the redevelopment of the existing market, market offices and car park for a high quality retail led, mixed- use development.

The site is owned by the Council and provides a fantastic opportunity to bring modern retail space and leisure uses to the town centre.

The application process for participation in the contract process has now closed.

Clitheroe Town Centre Masterplan

The Clitheroe Town Centre Masterplan was commissioned by Ribble Valley Borough Council, Lancashire County Council, and the then Ribble Valley Strategic Partnership, forming the Steering Group. The Brief was to set out the future strategy for the Clitheroe Town Centre Study Area, together with development principles for the Market Square.

As such this document, produced in October 2010, is a key reference document for this development.
